1.     INTRODUCTION

1.1    The Centre for New Inclusive Asia  (“CNIA”) respects and is committed to protecting your Personal Information and your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how CNIA collects, uses, discloses and safeguards the privacy of your Personal Information when you visit CNIA’s website (the “Website”) at https://www.cnia.com.my.

 

1.2    By accessing the Website, you accept this Privacy Policy, and you consent to the collection, storage, use and disclosure of your Personal Information as described in this Privacy Policy.

1.3    CNIA reserves the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time.  CNIA will alert you about any changes by revising the “Last Updated” date at the top of this Privacy Policy.  Any changes or modifications will be effective immediately upon posting the updated Privacy Policy on the Website, and you waive the right to receive specific notice of each such change or modification.

1.4    You are encouraged to periodically review this Privacy Policy to stay informed of updates. You will be deemed to have been made aware of, will be subject to, and will be deemed to have accepted the changes in any revised Privacy Policy by your continued use of the Website after the date such revised Privacy Policy is posted.

2.1    Personal Information means any information which relates to you and which Is collected or provided to CNIA for the purposes stated in Section 3 below. Your Personal Information may include (but is not limited to) your name, contact details, age, gender,  nationality, identity card/passport number,  images or photographs, academic and professional credentials, occupation, payment details,  and all such other information which may identify you that has been or may be collected, and used by CNIA from time to time.

2.2    CNIA may collect your Personal Information from a variety of sources including (but is not limited to):

(a)   Information that you provide to CNIA:

(i)    when you order or use any of the products or services on the Website:

(ii)    when you register for forums, conferences, seminars, workshops, and other events with CNIA;

(iii)   when you communicate or interact with CNIA through social media platforms,  online chat, or feedback forms; and

(iv)   when you participate in CNIA’s surveys or social media campaigns.

(b)    Information that CNIA’s web server automatically collects when you access the Website, such as your IP address, your browser type, your operating system, the time and date of access, pages visited, links clicked and the requested URL.

 

2.3    The provision of Personal Information requested in the relevant forms, such as registration for any forums, conferences, seminars, workshop and other events organised by or through CNIA, is mandatory unless otherwise stated. If you do not provide the information, CNIA may not be able to process your request and/or provide you with the relevant  products or services or registration for the events.

3.1   CNIA may use your Personal Information for the purposes relating to the business and activities of CNIA including:

You acknowledge that such transfer may occur and consent to the transfer of your Personal Information to the successor entity

5.1    CNIA may use cookies on the Website.
